He delivered the closing keynote address at the 3rd annual Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) Symposium hosted by the TUT Faculty of Arts and Design on 7 August.

TUT students showcase sustainable innovation at Sustainability Olympiad

Innovative student solutions that address real-world sustainability challenges have secured a place for the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Informatics teams in the Regional Sustainability Olympiad Competition in Kenya. Their success follows participation in the 2026 Sustainability Olympiad (SOL) Process Testing Winter School and Innovation Pitch Competition, held from 7 to 22 July 2026 at TUT in partnership with the University of Geneva in Switzerland.

The Tshwane University of Technology's Centre for Tissue Engineering (CTE) has reaffirmed its position as a leader in tissue banking and transplantation, following the renewal of its ISO 9001 certification. The internationally recognised quality management certification confirms that the Centre meets the rigorous standards for sourcing, processing and supplying human tissue for implant, transplant and therapeutic purposes, supporting quality healthcare and improved patient outcomes.
