How the Process Works

All research applications must be submitted through the appropriate channels for review and approval before data collection or laboratory work begins.

The process involves:

  1. Faculty-level screening through the Faculty Committee for Research Ethics (FCRE).
  2. Ethical review and approval by either the HREC or the AREC, depending on the nature of the research.
  3. Monitoring and reporting throughout the research lifecycle.
