Curiosity opens doors at Dream to Thrive Career Expo

Students at the Tshwane University of Technology’s Mbombela Campus gained valuable career insights when industry professionals joined the Dream to Thrive Career Expo, hosted in partnership with the Momentum Group Foundation. The event encouraged students to ask questions, build confidence and prepare for successful careers beyond graduation.

Campus Rector, Dr Ndiadivha Sikhweni, opening the Career Expo on 28 July 2026. Dr Ndiadivha Sikhweni, Campus Rector, encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities available to them, noting that many professionals lacked access to career guidance, CV writing support, interview preparation and professional development during their student years.

The expo connected students directly with industry professionals who shared practical advice about the world of work and the skills needed to succeed in today's competitive job market.

A strong message throughout the event was the value of curiosity. Students were encouraged to ask questions, seek knowledge beyond their comfort zones and take every opportunity to learn and grow.

"You cannot learn what you are not curious about," students were reminded, reinforcing the idea that one question can lead to new opportunities, careers and possibilities.
