The road to the Tshwane University of Technology has been a jagged track for Cebokazi Mani, who aced her level 4 marketing studies at College of Cape Town (CCT), achieving an overall mark of 80%.

Though she was one of the top students at her college in 2024, a lack of funding meant she had to put her dreams of studying marketing on hold for a year.
Mani found a job in retail and, for the whole of 2025, has been saving money to study Marketing at TUT. She is enrolled to study for a Diploma in Marketing at the Mbombela Campus.
Hers is a story of perseverance and not letting circumstances define her future. When she did not do as well as she had expected in matric in 2023, earning only a diploma pass, she decided to enrol at CCT, a public technical and vocational college, to study marketing NC(V) Level 4.
Not only did she improve her marks, but she also discovered her passion for marketing.
“I want to excel at TUT so that I can also attract bursaries and sponsorships. I love marketing and I plan to do well in my studies,” she said.
