TUT to host 33rd Southern African Universities Power Engineering Conference

TUT, in partnership with SAIEE and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) South Africa Section, will host the 33rd Southern African Universities Power Engineering Conference.

Dr-Vathiswa-Papu-Zamxaka Dr Vathiswa Papu-Zamxaka, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Engagement, will deliver the welcome address The conference will take place on 29 and 30 January 2025 at River Meadow Manor in Centurion.

SAUPEC 2025 will bring together professionals, academics and students to share innovative ideas and advance research and collaboration in the field of power engineering. Dr Vathiswa Papu-Zamxaka, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Engagement, will deliver the welcome address. The conference will feature keynote presentations by leading experts in the field, including Prof Sampson Mamphweli and Prof Ozoemena Ani, who will discuss challenges and opportunities in renewable energy.

This conference is supported by TUT’s Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment and the Department of Electrical Engineering.
