TUT applications and late applications are fully online

Academics

15 December 2025

The Tshwane University of Technology’s application and late-application processes are fully online; therefore, no walk-ins will be allowed in January 2026.

Prospective students must visit the website www.tut.ac.za to check the status of their applications. Also available on the website, is information on study programmes that are still open for applications.

Beware of scams!
The Tshwane University of Technology warns prospective students against unscrupulous individuals and companies who claim to work for TUT. These individuals and companies either charge prospective students a fee to assist them with applications and enquiries or charge prospective students a hefty fee under the guise that they will guarantee their acceptance to the TUT. Do NOT fall for these scams!

TUT will NOT charge any prospective student money for making enquiries. Acceptance to any of the University’s programmes is based solely on compliance with the application guidelines, qualification criteria, the number of spaces available and funding.

TUT does NOT post messages or letters on random websites, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook or other social media platforms promising to assist prospective students with applications or guaranteeing admission for a fee.

The University does NOT offer a 24/7 service via phone or WhatsApp. Our operating hours are 8am to 16h00 on weekdays. The University is closed from 19 December 2025 to 7 January 2026.

Help put a stop to scams. Do not share, repost or contact scammers or pay them any money. Remember that it is fraud to pay anyone for placement at the University.

Stay informed by checking any updates on the TUT website – your source of trusted information. Always verify information – if it is not posted on TUT’s official website www.tut.ac.za or its official social media sites – it is not true.

Contact TUT’s official Contact Centre when in doubt on 086 110 2421 or send an email to general@tut.ac.za for assistance. Prospective students are urged to report scammers to the Ethics Hotline on 0800 006 924 or email reportit@ethicshelpdesk.com
