The Faculty of Science at TUT is a unique multidisciplinary entity comprising fourteen academic departments in natural, agricultural and health sciences, catering for more than 9 000 students annually. The departments located at the Pretoria and Arcadia campuses offer a range of programmes, in both contact and distance modes. You can apply for a Higher Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Bachelor degree, Master’s or Doctoral degree.
Research conducted in the Faculty of Science responds to the national, regional and global imperatives for societal impact. The Faculty has five research chairs and 26 rated researchers. The Faculty of Science further boasts the Centre for Tissue Engineering, the TUT Experimental Farm, TUT-CSIR Cannabis and Hemp Hub, Centre for Applied Chemistry Research, Centre of Environmental Health and the SAMRC Herbal Drugs Research Unit.
