Faculty of Management Sciences

The Faculty of Management Sciences at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is the second largest at the University, serving around 12 000 students across four campuses – Pretoria, Polokwane, eMalahleni and Mbombela.

Range of Programmes From Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas to Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees, the Faculty provides high-quality education across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Two flagship qualifications are offered at the Mbombela campus: Ecotourism Management and Adventure Tourism Management.

Since 2024, we have expanded our fully online, asynchronous offerings, allowing students to pursue Higher Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Postgraduate Diplomas and structured Master’s programmes with four to six intakes per year — enabling high quality flexible and accessible learning.

Centres driving innovation and impact The Faculty is strengthened by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and the Centre for Sustainable Tourism Innovation (CSTI). The CED fosters entrepreneurship through training, mentoring and business support, focusing on women, the youth and people with disabilities, while also empowering rural and township SMMEs and co-operatives to engage fully in the mainstream economy.

The CSTI advances research and innovation at the intersection of sustainability, digitalisation and inclusive tourism. By collaborating with industry and communities, the Centre drives practical solutions that promote a resilient and sustainable tourism sector.

Preparing leaders for the future Through academic excellence, industry collaboration and innovation, the Faculty equips graduates to lead and make an impact in an ever-changing business world.
