Monitoring and Reporting
Once a project is approved, researchers are responsible for ongoing reporting to the HREC. This is a critical part of ensuring ethical compliance throughout the life of a study.
Annual Monitoring
- HREC-03 Passive Monitoring Form is required for low- and medium-risk studies. It must be submitted annually and includes updates on participant numbers, progress, and ethical considerations.
- HREC-04 Active Monitoring Form is required for high-risk studies, or those involving vulnerable populations, and may include site visits or six-monthly reports.
