The University has 37 025 NSFAS confirmed and funded students for 2019 in all NSFAS funding categories.
In August 2019, 1 927 students had unconfirmed statuses with NSFAS. TUT’s Financial Aid Office (FAO) engaged NSFAS in Cape Town on 12 - 13 August 2019. The outcome of this engagement is that of the 1 927 students, a total of 1 086 students failed the NSFAS eligibility criteria and were therefore rejected by NSFAS.
Of the remaining 841 students, the TUT FAO has resolved 181 students and is currently engaging the remaining 660 students on any relevant information still necessary for NSFAS to process their applications.
The FAO is working tirelessly to engage with NSFAS towards resolving these issues. Any other student who still have challenges with their NSFAS funding applications can contact the following Financial Aid managers on the respective campuses directly:
- Mrs TG van Schalkwyk, firstname.lastname@example.org (students at Pretoria, Arts, Arcadia, Mbombela, eMalahleni & Polokwane)
- Mr IS Mampe, email@example.com (students at Soshanguve North & South, as well as Ga-Rankuwa).
