Prof Ndivhuwho Tshipala, newly appointed Assistant Dean Teaching and Learning at the Faculty of Management Sciences.
Prof Tshipala brings his vast experience of more than 21 years in higher education to the dynamic Faculty of Management Sciences, where excellence in teaching and learning is prioritised. His exceptional managerial expertise will no doubt strengthen the Faculty to continue being one of the largest and most productive faculties of Management Sciences in the country.
Prof Tshipala commands boundless knowledge of tourism development, sustainable tourism, management and adventure tourism. He holds a Doctoral degree in Tourism Management, with adventure tourism as his main area of interest.
“I am excited and looking forward to the new role. Indeed, it is a big responsibility, however, together with the Faculty staff members, we can be successful.”
“One of my focus areas will be to see through the development and implementation of the already approved online programs, the service and operational excellence, as well as producing future ready graduates within the portfolio of teaching and learning,” said Prof Tshipala.
He has been instrumental in curriculum development for HEQSF aligned programmes and qualifications in adventure tourism, ecotourism, event management and tourism management in the department of Tourism Management.
Prof Tshipala is also a reviewer and an associate editor for various international and domestic academic journals. In addition, he has supervised several masters’ and doctoral degree students with a focus on tourism. He has received numerous national and international excellence awards for his academic work.
