Legodi, whose stage name is Lebza Lebzito, was quick to share that this massive hit song, Trigger (AaChuu Amapiano song), was a team effort with other famous musicians, Dj Karri, Prime de 1st and BL Zero.
In an online comment about their success, Dj Karri said he and the team were in great shock that when the numbers grew drastically on TikTok and Instagram, but they knew it was the breakthrough they needed for growth.
In an interview earlier today, Lebza Lebzito, shared his excitement about the awards. “I was extremely pleased and humbled when I received the plaques. It was quite a surreal moment and it really felt like I was dreaming. I have been creating music for a while now, but I never thought I would receive such prestigious awards so soon,” he said.
He added, “Being an ICT student who is passionate about digital technologies, it was exciting to see the song go viral on digital social media channels such as TikTok and Instagram.”
The hit song, trigger, has been certified gold after reaching an audience of more than 50.4-million, 47 000 streams locally and more than 89 000 streams globally.
“I would love to own a record label company and become one of the best music producers in Africa in the foreseeable future,” Lebogang concluded.
