Khumalo was among the 291 students from the Faculty of Management Sciences who received qualifications today, 10 May 2022.

Sharing her joy about her graduation day, she said: “This is a very special day. It would have been more special if my mom was around to experience this wonderful moment with me. However, I know she is proud of me and my siblings for working hard and defying all the odds we face. This one is for you mom,” she said.

Khumalo has vowed to never stop studying. “My ultimate goal is to obtain a doctorate. It is possible and it will be done,” she said.

In a message to students, she said: “Use your time wisely and work hard towards your studies. It is not easy, but then, remember success is no accident. It requires hard work, perseverance, learning, studying and a whole lot of other sacrifices. Let us all characterise a generation that completes what it has started,” she concluded.
