The IFFHS ranking is based on the performance of clubs in international and national tournaments over the last 12 months. The calculation system is similar to the IFFHS Men’s Club World ranking whose points in national tournaments are calculated depending on the level of a national league.
Dr Shadrack Nthangeni, Acting Executive Director of SAED said these rankings represent a significant step forward on how we are viewed across the world, our performance and more notably, our influence and contribution to the sporting fraternity. We are ranked number 9 and we are the only University of Technology (UOT) on the list. Indeed, we are extremely proud of the ladies’ team, who work tirelessly to elevate the university stature in the country, the continent and world.
In addition, Dr Nthangeni said the entire university community ought to celebrate the remarkable milestone. “Indeed, this achievement is the result of efforts from our couches, sport administrators and the whole TUT community”.
