FISAF is an international, independent, democratic and non-profit federation dedicated to sports aerobics, fitness and Hip Hop as well as the development of the aerobic and fitness industry on an international level. Each year FISAF International runs a the World FISAF aerobics and Hip Hop Unite World Championships, with the best Sport Aerobic Individuals, Teams and Hip Hop crews selected to represent various countries.
On Friday, 4 October, the Directorate of Sport and Recreation at the Ga-Rankuwa Campus hosted a send-off function for the team.
Wishing them well for the trip and competition, were Prof DP van der Nest, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance and Emmanuel Nange, Acting Director of Sport and Recreation.
“Representing the country at such an auspicious event is a great achievement. The TUT family is proud of your achievements and will back you all the way. We have no doubt that you will represent the country and the University well,” said Prof van der Nest.
“This opportunity did not come by chance. It required weeks and months of hard work; you deserve it. All that remains is to go there, participate and show the world your mettle and potential,” added Emmanuel.
