Excellent IT training rakes in Diamond award for Polokwane

The outstanding quality of IT Training at the Tshwane University of Technology’s Polokwane Campus has won it a PMR.africa Diamond Arrow first prize Award at the 2019 PMR Arrow Awards event.  

The award recognises teamwork and diligence of Polokwane Campus staff in IT training.   

The adjudicators arrived at the rating based on the 150 responses received from CEOs, managing directors, business owners, company directors, senior government officials based in the Limpopo Province.

Based in Johannesburg, PMR.africa is a well-known consultancy and research company whose core objective is to recognise and celebrate excellence in business and industry, tertiary institutions, government entities and other companies. The evaluation criteria included the following:

  • Competency;
  • Contribution to the economic growth and development of the Limpopo Province; and
  • Management expertise and corporate governance.

The profiling of the Limpopo Province as a growth point and area for investment in terms of brand awareness, marketing efforts and levels of innovation, steered the adjudicators to reach their findings.   

Other PMR.africa award categories include Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, with the following ratings: Diamond: at least 4.10 out of 5.00 (equivalent to outstanding) Gold:  at least 3.75 (excellent) Silver/Bronze: rated at least 3.40 (very good).

This award is recognises teamwork and diligence of Polokwane Campus staff who continuously contribute to excellence and a winning Tshwane University of Technology.
