TUT SRC Election Day a Success

5 September 2019

Pretoria - SRC elections were successfully held today across the campuses of the Tshwane University of Technology in Tshwane, Soshanguve, Ga-Rankuwa, Mbombela, Polokwane and eMalahleni. Throughout the day, the mood was one of vibrant enthusiasm for the elections. The elections were held from 09h00 to 21h00, with a steady flow of voters moving into the voting stations. Observers were at each voting station, ensuring that the process was free and fair.

By this morning everything was in place for eligible voters to vote at the 14 voting stations across the six TUT campuses. Voting took place peacefully. The election was managed by KDBS, a company with a solid track record in managing elections of this nature. Counting will take place at each station once voting closes at 21h00.

The University is pleased that rigorous preparations resulted in a smooth electoral process. Provisional results will be announced on Friday, 6 September 2019 and the final results will be announced on 10 September 2019.
