3 September 2018

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) condemns the disruptions experienced at the Pretoria and Soshanguve Campuses today, which included the interruption of a Senate meeting.

The independent forensic investigation conducted by SNG Grant Thornton is making progress and the Executive Management Committee (EMC) is expecting a preliminary report in due course.

As soon as findings of the investigation are made available, the University will communicate the way forward with regards to the SRC elections. Staff and students are encouraged to participate in the investigation.

Discussions are underway this afternoon with the CSRCs from Soshanguve and Ga-Rankuwa campuses.

Academic activities at all campuses will continue to ensure that no further academic time is lost.
