TUT Update

2 September 2018

Activities for staff and students at all campuses will resume tomorrow, 3 September 2018

Academic activities for students and staff at all the Tshwane University of Technology campuses will resume on Monday, 3 September 2018.

The week will be dedicated exclusively to lecturing activities and catch-up for time lost during the week of mourning last week. No tests will be written this week until Friday.

The issue of the failed SRC elections will be discussed between SAED and student leaders tomorrow.

The IPID investigation into the shooting of our late student, Andries Monareng, has commenced and TUT, like other role-players, are awaiting the results.

In terms of the forensic investigation by SNG Grant Thornton, announced by TUT Management previously, it is well underway and site inspections will commence on 3 September 2018.

The safety of the TUT community is a priority. Adequate arrangements will be made to monitor and manage the situation at all sites.
