Staff and students will have the unique opportunity to view and be inspired by the best in advertising and brand communication across Africa and the Middle East when TUT hosts the Loeries pop-up Travelling Exhibition from 23 to 27 April.
The Loeries has been rewarding creativity for 40 years. As Africa and the Middle East’s premiere award that recognises, rewards, inspires and fosters creative excellence in the advertising and brand communication industry, winning a Loerie is the highest accolade for creativity and innovation across our region.
The Loeries promotes and supports creativity by helping marketers, agencies and consumers appreciate the value of fresh thinking, innovative ideas and outstanding execution.
Loeries CEO, Andrew Human, says: “This year is the 40th anniversary of the Loeries and it’s the most sought-after award in the brand communication industry across Africa and the Middle East. The creative industry thrives on fresh talent bringing new ideas, and our exhibition provides young creatives with the inspiration to join the creative economy.”
The creative economy across Africa and the Middle East is world-class and has great potential to offer employment to our talented youth, and the Loeries places a significant emphasis on education and development.
Entry into the Loeries 2018 is now open and the deadline is 15 May 2018, so this is an ideal opportunity to view past winners and be motivated to enter this year’s Loeries.
The pop-up exhibition can be viewed at the Department of Visual Communication, Building 8, Arts Campus, 24 Du Toit Street. For more information, contact Herman Botes, Academic Section Head: Visual Communication, 012 382 6162 or
