TUT awards its first PhDs during Spring Graduations

The 2018 Spring Graduations were history in the making for the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) when the first four PhD degrees were awarded to successful candidates. 

On 24 October, the Faculty of Science awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Science to Nduku Mercy Ngungu, Chinelo Patience Obianom and Clifford Malesela Kekana.

On 26 October, Gabriel Farotade, also received a Doctor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering. 

During the 2018 Spring Graduation ceremonies, 3 182 successful candidates received qualifications, including 1 700 National Diplomas; 973 BTech degrees, 108 MTech and 28 MBA degrees; 23 DTech degrees, a Doctor of Engineering and 3 Doctor of Philosophy in Science degrees.
