The Department of Marketing, Logistics and Sport Management (MLS) at the Tshwane University of Technology’s Faculty of Management Sciences boasts a new Head of Department. The dynamic Dr Eric Pule assumed this responsibility late in 2016.

Dr Pule, who is no newcomer to the University, previously held the position of Sectional Head of the Department.

An excited Dr Pule, explained that, apart from ensuring the effective functioning of the Department, some of the other challenges he will have to address include the implementation of a strategy to increase the number of postgraduate students who complete their studies and the implementation of short courses to ensure third-stream income generation for the Department.

In congratulating him on his appointment, Prof Edward Rankhumise, acting Executive Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, said Dr Pule’s academic experience, knowledge of academic and University processes, leadership qualities, people skills and qualifications make him an exceptionally suitable person for this job.
