Become the change factor in creating inclusive workspaces!

TUT’s Women in Leadership Forum, in collaboration with Prof Ben van Wyk, DVC: Teaching, Learning and Technology, on 1 August celebrated the annual Women’s Day by hosting a special seminar focused on creating Inclusive Workspaces. Delivering the opening address on behalf of Prof van Wyk, Prof Ingrid Mokgobu, Interim Campus Rector for the Pretoria Campus (2nd left), echoed his sentiments. “Let this day remind us of the importance of supporting and uplifting one another as we foster and inclusive and equitable environment for all. Together, we stand as a united force, striving for progress and equality, not just on Women’s Day, but every day. Enjoy this special occasion and let solidarity (unity) guide us towards a brighter, more empowering future.”

Shireen Chengadu, Group Chief Academic Officer, Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology, delivered a powerful message on Creating Inclusive Workspaces, emphasising the importance for women to ensure they take their place at the table to bring about change.

Also present at the function were Dr Cheryl Ogilvie (far left), 2020 WLP delegate, Dr Tessie Herbst (centre back), Women in Leadership Programme Facilitator and Dr Nimmi Seoraj Pillai, Faculty of Science (far right) and Programme Director for the event.
