As part of the BRICS agenda, South Africa hosted the engagement of the Ministers of Communication from the BRICS countries in Cape Town, where matters of mutual interest in universal access to data, collaborations in research and innovation were discussed.
IFoW's Senior Director, Tseliso Mohlomi chaired the Council of BIFN themed “Universal Connectivity for a thriving digital economy.”
