Mbulelo enrolled for the qualification in 2019. He said he chose to study film and television at TUT, rather than acting: “because this particular creative space has always been his passion,” it allows him to express what he loves in so many different ways and because the course at TUT came highly recommended.

Looking back on his first year, Mbulelo said it was an interesting experience because his fellow students’ heads used to turn heads when he walked past them on campus.

His other work includes acting in a couple of movies from Mzansi Magic, such as Umbuzo wa Themba, in 2019, and the BET drama of Lebo Mathosa “The Dream” in 2020. In addition, he worked hard to advance his music, especially through a song called The Warm-up, which tells the story of his life’s experiences.

Mbulelo is currently also enrolled for an Advanced Diploma in Film and Television Directing.
