The University will confer certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, masters and doctoral degrees on 14 874 graduates from the Faculty of Humanities, ICT, Engineering and the Built Environment, Science, Management Sciences, Arts and Design, and the Faculty of Economics and Finance.
In his message to the graduands, Prof Tinyiko Maluleke, Vice-Chancellor and Principal said: “By virtue of becoming our alumni, you are now TUT ambassadors. Through your qualifications, we have equipped you to contribute to the development of our country. Please, make a difference in the communities and sectors you will serve. As future-ready graduates, you are expected to look out for yourselves, as well as participate in shaping the future of work in our country. As we congratulate you for your fine achievement, we also acknowledge the critical role that those who have supported you along the journey have palyed,” said Prof Maluleke.
The Graduation and Certification Office has advised that graduates should make certain they arrive on time. They should also take note of the following important information:
- Graduates will only be allowed to bring two guests.
- One person will receive a guest card for the main hall and the other guest will receive one for the overflow hall.
- The colour of the ticket will determine which hall the guest will enter.
