The Faculty of Arts and Design pulled out all stops to give its 510 first-year students a welcome that they will not soon forget. During the event, with a hat inspired theme and entertainment by Performing Arts students, Prof Nalini Moodley-Diar, Executive Dean, congratulated the class of 2022 and told them that they were selected few of more than 10 000 applications. “This journey that you are now ready to undertake will provide a rich array of opportunities for you to learn, to grow, to discover who you are, and how you want to make a difference in the world,” she said.
