Dr Shadrack Nthangeni, Acting Executive Director SAED, expressed his appreciation towards the student leaders. “I am proud of you for taking the lead. It is said that if your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. Thank you for encouraging the entire student community to get vaccinated.”
Nokwanda Khumalo, President General: ISRC, said leading the student community during the Covid-19 pandemic has been very difficult. “Our task is a mammoth one and we are always looking out for the wellbeing of our students. The vaccination drive is a strong message to the TUT community and we are taking a stand to say that there is nothing to fear. We are doing this to protect ourselves, friends and families. Vaccination is easily accessible, acceptable, affordable and feasible. This is our shot and we are pulling out all the stops to get as many of our students possible vaccinated, before the commencement of the 2022 academic activities,” she said.
The vaccination drive will take place tomorrow, from 13:00 at the TUT Prestige Auditorium Building 21 (Part 1) and Cricket Clubhouse Vaccination Site (Part 2).
