Senziwe Maliba, a talented student from the Mbombela Campus of the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), had the honour of praising our nation's leader, Pres Cyril Ramaphosa, at the 2024 State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics programme (MOP) at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has achieved a significant milestone by applying for and receiving international recognition from the prestigious International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO). This achievement comes as a result of rigorous efforts undertaken during the establishment of the new Bachelor of Health Science: Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics programme, replacing the longstanding National Diploma programme that operated from 1987 to 2021.

On Tuesday, 20 February 2024, the TUT Ga-Rankuwa Campus heartily welcomed the TUT executive management team which was led by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof Tinyiko Maluleke. The executive team chose to hold their latest executive management committee meeting at the Garankuwa campus. Amongst other things, this gesture underscores the commitment of the VC and his executive team to the delivery of excellent service and the promotion of academic excellence across all TUT campuses.

He says that being visually impaired does not deter him from fulfilling his dreams but pushes him to strive even more.

Hard work, commitment and dedication paid off for three Animal Sciences students who have earned themselves an opportunity to pursue Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in Denmark. Mokgudi Dikgomo, Zwivhuya Kutama and Nhlamulo Makhuvhele, 3rd-year Diploma in Animal Science students, left the country last weekend and will be placed at Svanholmgard v/Soren Jeppesen (Feedlot Pig Farming) in Eskebjerg, Rasmus Olesen in Horsens (Pig Farming), Lerhogigaard (Dairy Farming) in Bramming, respectively.

The Tshwane University of Technology’s Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE) welcomed their first-year students in style at the Pretoria and eMalahleni Campuses on 8 and 9 February 2024.
