Tshwane FM has capped off its milestone 21st anniversary year with an extraordinary achievement, earning twenty-two nominations at the 2025 Telkom Radio Awards. The recognition marks one of the station’s strongest showings to date as it continues to strengthen its place in South Africa’s radio industry. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, 6 December at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The anniversary spirit is woven through the nominated content. Flagship shows such as Tshwane FM Breakfast Show, Cap City Dialogues and The Creative Hub impressed judges with their creativity, confidence and audience connection. The refreshed night time line-up also made its mark, with Pitori Originals Thursday and Geek Wave securing nominations that highlight the station’s renewed energy during its celebratory year.
The recognition extends beyond programming to the on-air talent that drives the station’s identity. Presenters Master Vee, Trishy Trish and Faith Modise received individual nominations, underscoring the strength and depth of the team. Promotional campaigns that defined the anniversary, including the Oh Ship Experience and the 21st anniversary celebration, also earned national recognition.
Tebogo Jacko Magubane, Station Manager, described the moment as a defining one for the station. “This is a proud moment for Tshwane FM and for the entire TUT community. Our 21st anniversary reminded us of who we are and why we exist. These nominations show that our work is being heard and valued. The station has grown, the team has grown and our voice has never been stronger.”
As Tshwane FM moves into its next chapter it does so with renewed momentum and the applause of the national radio industry.
