Tshwane FM is proud to announce its participation in World Radio Day 2024 by hosting special simulcasts with radio stations from various countries in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.
- On February 13, 2024, Tshwane FM's Breakfast show, Breakfast with T will collaborate with Capital Talk 100.4 from Zimbabwe.
- The midmorning show, Something Brunchy, hosted by Lemogang ‘LR’ Matwa, will collaborate with the English Language Service of Radio Mozambique to bring listeners a unique and enriching experience.
- During The Daytime Chill with Omphile, Tshwane FM will collaborate with Kwithu FM from Zambia, providing listeners with a diverse and engaging program that highlights the cultural richness of the region.
- In the afternoon, The Ride or Drive show, hosted by Abongile Baleni, will simulcast with another radio station from Zambia Flava FM, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation across borders.
World Radio Day, celebrated annually on February 13th, recognizes the enduring impact of radio as a powerful medium for communication and expression. This year, in line with the UNESCO theme for 2024, "Radio and Diversity," Tshwane FM embraces the diverse voices and cultures of the SADC region through collaborative simulcasts.
