​The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at TUT is a community of academics and researchers committed to quality in research and training. We offer a broad and established curricula in Mathematical Technology (M Tech, D Tech), a programme with a blend of strong computing and visualisation capabilities with theoretical considerations that permits one to do new and deeper investigations into the mathematical sciences. We also offer qualifications in Quality (B Tech, M Tech, and D Tech). 

​This programme consists of the full spectrum of quality technologies, the tools and techniques of quality assurance, the philosophies and techniques of Total Quality Management, self- assessment, bench marking, and world class organisations. Implementation and use of ISO 9000, ISO 14 000, SPC programmes, FMEAs, Quality Function Deployment. The Department's PhD programme appears among the top programmes in the country. Our students are professionally trained by the experts in academia, exposed to intensive research and they enter the high-technology sector skilled and proficient.
