If you are passionate about cultivating garden and ornamental plants, such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, and nursery crops, then a qualification in Horticulture would fulfil your dreams; and if you love the outdoors and beautifying the environment in the urban build areas, then a qualification in Landscape Technology is all you need. Both Horticulture and Landscape Technology programmes are offered from national diploma to doctoral level.
Our department combines academic and practical training in the field of growing ornamental horticulture for urban landscaping purposes. Students entering this degree learn how to breed and grow garden and ornamental plants and plant species with the right amount of moisture, nutrients and light. The Department of Horticulture has built a solid and reputable track record in training entrepreneurs in the fields of Landscape Technology and Horticulture for a number of years.
