Tshwane University of Technology Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (TUT CED). The strategic priorities of the TUT CED are closely related to South Africa’s ambitious development strategies as outlined in the National Development Plan (NDP 2030); and the regional and international socio-economic objectives as outlined in the 2063 African Agenda 2063 and Sustainable Development Goals.
We facilitate and promote entrepreneurship development by providing an array of business support resources and services for early-staged entrepreneurs. In general, the Centre fosters entrepreneurship and serve start-up businesses with training, coaching, mentoring, and access to a network of resources designed to accelerate their success and create jobs for the country’s economic development. Our capacity development provides tailor-made curriculum strategies to assist beneficiaries in recognising entrepreneurship, learning how to be become an entrepreneur and learning how to manage their businesses.
TUT CED prides itself with programmes that are aligned to developing rural, township and mining towns’ economy SMMEs and co-operatives, to participate fully into the mainstream economy. Our beneficiaries are exposed to industries in the following sector’s but not limited to Manufacturing, Information Technology & Digitalization, Renewable Energy, Cultural & Creative Industries, Agriculture & Agro processing, Tourism, Healthcare, and Social Services etc.

Mission
To promote entrepreneurship and innovation through capacity development and training for inclusive and equitable economic growth and sustainable development.
To help students, recent graduate and emerging enterprises, gain access to mentors, training, shared space, professional assistance, access to capital, and other services to ensure the successful development of their business ideas.
To contribute to entrepreneurial policy planning, formulation and implementation through academic and research activities and community engagement.
To contribute to job creation and enhanced economic health of Africa.
