Reading Programme
- The Reading Programme is aimed at improving both reading speed and comprehension. Exercises on vocabulary, word recognition, grammar, memory and spelling are included.
- Automatic assessment allows the students to progress gradually, at their own pace. The selected passages are suitable for a vast variety of subjects.
- The programme consists of different levels at which students will be placed in accordance with their reading ability for regular practising.
Referral Procedures
- It is advisable for all lecturers to refer all their first-years for the Reading Programme in order to prepare them for their tertiary studies.
- In a case where the lecturer refers the student(s), the lecturer issues the students concerned with a note or a letter indicating their details and the reasons for referral.
- In a case where the lecturer refers the whole class, he/she should contact the secretary to arrange suitable dates and time slots.
