Welcome

Welcome to the Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing Science, –Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria. The school was formed from the merger of the Nursing Departments of the former Technikon Pretoria and Technikon Northern Gauteng, and named after the former chancellor, the late Mrs Adelaide Tambo, who was also a nurse by profession. Though school falls under the under the Faculty of Science which is at the Arcadia campus, the physical location of the school is at the Pretoria campus in Pretoria West.

Nursing programmes

• B Tech Nursing Science: 4 year program. Leads to registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional Nurse.
• Extended B Tech Nursing Science: 5 year program. Leads to registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional Nurse.
• B Tech Oncology Nursing: 2 year part time program
• B Tech Occupational Health Nursing: 2 year part time program.
• B Tech Community Nursing: 2 year part time
• Master’s and Doctoral of Technology
