The department offers the following qualifications:

• Mathematical Technology (M Tech, D Tech)
Mathematical Technology may be described as the blending of strong computing and visualization capabilities with theoretical considerations that permits one to do new and deeper investigations into the mathematical sciences. TUT only offers a M Tech degree in Mathematical Technology and a Doctorate in Mathematical Technology. A (fourth year only) B Tech program is currently being developed.

 • Quality (B Tech, M Tech, D Tech)
B Tech Quality is only offered in the fourth year. This programme consists of the full spectrum of quality technologies, the tools and techniques of quality assurance, the philosophies and techniques of Total Quality Management, self- assessment, bench marking, and world class organizations. Implementation and use of ISO 9000, ISO 14 000, SPC programmes, FMEA=s, Quality Function Deployment.
