Centre for Training and Development:

The Centre for Training and Development strives through continuing professional training and development programmes as well as other consultation services to address the needs of industry, business and communities regarding the development of people.

All services rendered are client centered with the final outcome being high quality people development

Centre for Entrepreneurship:

The vision of the Centre is to contribute, according to international standards, in a value-added and practical way to the promotion of entrepreneurship in Southern Africa in order to make a relevant contribution to the social and economic progress in the region.

The Centre does not only set the stage for realizing its own entrepreneurial potential, but also creates new potential that is explored and utilized to establish, enhance and build a reputation as the leading entrepreneurial centre in higher education in Southern Africa.

They have already formed partnerships with University of Trento, Italy, Polytechnic in Namibia and the St Thomas University in Mosambique

Centre for Marketing Research:

The Centre does ad hoc contract research that deals mainly with market feasibility. Such studies usually involve in-depth research of the characteristics of a specific industry, with the emphasis on an understanding of its mechanics, from the technicalities of the manufacturing or supply of products, to product formulation and the marketing of those products.

Centre for New Venture Creation:

The Centre is situated on the Polokwane campus and was established in 2001.

The main aim of the Centre is to facilitate the creation of new business ventures and is mainly aimed at previously disadvantaged communities to facilitate their entrance into the business community.  Participants are trained in the successful start-up and operation of a business.  Prospective entrepreneurs are encouraged to address the needs of the local economic development strategy of the Limpopo province.

Thabeisa (Technical and Business Education Initiative in South Africa):

This Centre is situated on the Soshanguve Campus.  The objectives of the Centre are to establish an entrepreneurial culture through training programs for staff, students and the local community, provide small business support and advice to the new and existing entrepreneurs and to do research in the area of entrepreneurship.

TUT Business School

The Faculty of Management Sciences is in the fortunate position to have one of the accredited Business Schools in the country as part of the Faculty.

Although they are one of the smallest Business Schools they have recently received a PMR award as one of the Top 12 Business Schools in the country.

Our Business School offers the MBA which consists of 15 modules, presented by way of lecturers, group discussions, case studies and role-players.

They also offer shorter programmes, custom-made for the South-African market for example, Junior Management, Executives Leadership, Management Development, Project Management and Organizational Leadership
