Faculty of Economics and Finance
Welcome to the Faculty of Economics and Finance. This Faculty combines and integrates two main disciplines, namely a focus on engagement with and service to the business community and a focus on economic sciences. It provides a quality and challenging education aimed at meeting the public and private sector employment needs throughout the continent and the SADC regions. TUT’s slogan is “We empower people”, and we do so through research and entrepreneurship. That is why our Faculty has a strong focus on entrepreneurship so that our graduates can also create jobs. Our experienced academic staff members are in close contact with students and build a strong relationship with both the public and private sectors.
Through research, the Faculty launched a new initiative in 2010, namely the concept of the faculty research workshops for novice researchers. The objective is to build the research capacity of novice researchers and staff members in the process of improving their qualifications
