Catering services

Each residence has a cafeteria that functions on a computerised booking system. Students deposit money into their meal card accounts and then they may buy anything at the cafeteria on their meal cards. They therefore do not need to carry cash with them all the time.

Private companies are contracted to render the catering services to students.  They specialise in preparing diverse menus, including special diet menus on presentation of a medical certificate.

Self-catering residences

Not all residences are self-catering units, basic provision is made at some residnces for cooking.
