Tshwane University of Technology

The closing date for student registration at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has been extended until 10 February 2012. This decision was taken to accommodate the large number of students who have not yet registered for study this year. No penalties will be charged for late registration until 10 February.

The University has taken cognisance of the fact that in many instances students with outstanding debt have not been able to register. Therefore, management this morning resolved that students who have qualified for NSAS funding for 2012 and who still have outstanding debt from 2011, will be considered for registration, provided that they contact Student Accounts to make personal arrangements and sign an acknowledgement of debt. Please click here to access a list of financial officers who can assist in having financial block lifted.

All students should please ensure that they have registered and paid the registration fee before they start to attend lectures. Students who fail to, will not be registered on the University’s system and therefore TUT will not be able to release results to such students.

In order to avoid long queues to register, students are urged to make use of the online registration facility on the TUT Website or to visit the electronic resources centres at TUT’s various campuses. It is quick and easy, with full step-by-step instructions being given once logged onto the system. Go to enrolments and follow the prompts from there.

Another piece of good news for prospective students is that there are still some spaces available in programmes across TUT’s faculties, except for the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment. Learners can visit the TUT Website to access a list of such programmes and the entry requirements they should meet to enroll for those programmes. It is imperative for prospective students to ensure that they meet the specific entry requirements as well as the APS score, for the programmes they want to apply for. Please click here to access the list.
